The Nonprofit Times posted the above titled blog and I could not wait to reblog because I had the exact conversation with a client yesterday. The author outlines the critical parts of a program description that should be included in every grant proposal. The blog goes on to say that without a program description “the funder will not know why they should agree to give [your organization] the money requested”.
The author states that when developing your program description ensure that it includes the following six items:
- Purpose of the program. What will the project accomplish?
- Why you are doing this project. Why is the program needed? Does any other organization have a similar program? How does your program fit with your charity’s mission?
